Board Minutes

The Board of Directors of Albany Golden K Kiwanis Club met on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at Westview Baptist Church at 9:00 A.M. The meeting was called to order by President Goldsmith.

Officers in attendance were President Goldsmith, Vice President Kennedy, President-Elect Lennard, Past President Mueller, Secretary Coburn, and Treasurer Rabun.

Directors present were Bill Bacon, Dale Don, Linda Goldsmith, Tom King, Harris Povlot, and Wendall Prince. Also present was Editor Don Williams.

Minutes of the last meeting were read by the Secretary and approved by the Board, after a motion by King, and second by Don. The Treasurer’s report was given by Rabun and approved by the Board after a motion by Don and second by Bacon. At the Request of the President Secretary Coburn reported that he had given the information to his daughter, but she has not reported any information back. The Secretary said we could not expect an answer for some months because she is very busy at this time. The Secretary mentioned the program disc for Quicken has been given to Darrel Dunn.

The President and Secretary opened a letter from Alexia, District Secretary, in which we received only 5 raffle tickets, instead of the 10 promised in the letter. The Secretary promised to communicate this to Alexia.

The President again urged the Board to invite guests to our meetings with the premise that many of those who attend a meeting will join us.

Editor Williams urged members who shop at Office Depot and do not have or use the Office Depot “Worklife Rewards” card to give the cashier his phone number, 888-7769, when checking out. By doing this the Club will receive a percentage of your purchase in cash rewards at the end of the quarter. This helps to defray the cost of having the Bulletin printed.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 AM.
